Training Program

The PEERS® (Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills) is tailored to support individuals facing social challenges, encompassing children, adolescents, and young adults, particularly those with conditions like autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other developmental disorders. This program, founded on empirical evidence, is dedicated to imparting fundamental social abilities through didactic teaching, role-play simulations, and practical exercises. Conducted in small group settings by proficient therapists, the sessions engage both the participants and their guardians. PEERS follows a structured curriculum spanning 10 to 14 weeks, delving into various aspects of social interaction, including:

  • Conversation skills

  • Friendship skills

  • Empathy and perspective-taking: Understanding others; emotions, thoughts, and intentions, and responding empathetically.

  • Electronic communication: Navigating social media, texting, and online interactions responsibly and safely.

  • Handling teasing and peer rejection

  • Calming techniques

Who benefits from social skills training?

Social skills training can benefit individuals of all ages (designed for children, adolescents, and young adults) who experience difficulties in social interactions or struggle to navigate social situations effectively.
